[]   Toxicity Platform
  [] Cell cultures

Neuron BioPharma analyses compound biosafety in increasingly complex models, defining toxicological parameters in human cell lines to determine the degree of safety of the studied molecules.

[] Zebrafish

Neuron BioPharma uses zebrafish to study compound biosafety, because of the animal intrinsical characteristics that allows a quickly analysis of the toxicological and teratogenic effect of the studied compounds. In order to study the effect of the substances in zebrafish, toxicological determination methods based on OECD regulations are carried out. Additionally, compound biosafety is analysed through assays (improving this above-mentioned regulation) and to study compound organotoxicity or their influence on animal psychomotor and cognitive activities.
  [] Rodents

Neuron BioPharma finishes its biosafety study of compounds with assays conducted on rodent model (mice and rat), determining substance toxicity through non-invasive molecular imaging studies (bioluminescence, MRI), hematological and biochemical analysis, anatomo-pathological analysis and behavioral phenotyping studies (locomotor and cognitive status).
